GEDCOM is the GEnealogical Data COMmunication standard was established by the Family History Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It's recommended that you reference the Wikipedia Encyclopedia webpage for a detailed GEDCOM Database explanation.  Because a GEDCOM Database is not normally policed, its information may not be complete, contain inaccuracies or typo errors.

The followings indexed information simply represents a printout of the OPD GEDCOM Database, that was in effect as of 31-Dec-2004.  Its text output has been broken down into indexed groups for ease of viewing.     

( A GEDCOM Database file dated 1-Dec-2006 is available for downloading.  Before you download this file, you need to fully-understand its requirements for downloading time, storage & viewing.  Please note that Herman Geschwind is now deceased and his database is not being maintained. )

All information (Names, Events & Dates) contained within a GEDCOM Database, is considered to be public domain information by our Federal Government.  Therefore, you can not legally block any of this information from public viewing - whether it's right or wrong.  However, this webmaster will make every attempt to comply with any reasonable change request to correct errors or withhold information.
